ONE ON ONE TUTORING
Scheduled one hour online tutoring sessions that provide detailed explanations, personalized lessons, and a dedicated tutor for your child.
HOW DOES ONE ON ONE TUTORING WORK?
PTRGV matches students with a dedicated tutor each cycle. You will have a scheduled tutoring session with your tutor once a week for six weeks for a total of six individual lessons. Tutors will provide power points, practice problems, and support to students.
WHEN DOES ONE ON ONE TUTORING START?
Because PTRGV specially matches you with a tutor that fits your subject needs and availability, we cannot start on your sessions right away. It will take around two weeks for us to process scheduling you and your tutors. By August 28th, your tutors will have confirmed their schedules and will begin contacting you and your parents. By August 31st, Cycle 2 officially begins and you will be able to meet with your tutor. Please check your emails and phone for messages and reply promptly to our tutors. If we are unable to receive a response by August 31st, we will have to remove you from the enrollment list.
WHAT IF I KNOW SOMEONE ELSE WHO WANTS TO JOIN?
Registration for One-on-One will remain open until August 21st, so we encourage you to spread the word! Unfortunately, we cannot accept registrations for new students after this time because scheduling is an intensive effort. However, we do encourage students to register for Homework Help if they are still looking for support. Registration for Homework Help is open year round while One on One Tutoring reopens every six weeks.
